I have a strong background in the development, characterization and numerical modeling of composite materials. During my PhD I designed and optimized a simple and efficient manufacturing process, validated according to international ballistic protection standards, published the results in JCR Polymer Korea. Developed a predictive ballistic impact simulation model. I did a research stay at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, participating in mechanical characterization and impact simulations. I have been a productive project evaluator in COMECyT. In teaching I have taught undergraduate and graduate courses at UPVM and UNITEC. My commitment to scientific dissemination includes participation as a judge, evaluator, speaker and workshop leader in international forums.
