Dr. Yazmín Mariela Hernández Rodríguez is a graduate of Science Engineering of the Materials of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo, as well as the master's degree in Materials Sciences from the same institution, his doctorate
carried out in the Nanosciences and Nanotechnology program by the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute.
Among its lines of research are the synthesis of nanomaterials metals for diagnosis and treatment of cancer, synthesis of metal oxides for
gas sensing, degradation of contaminants present in wastewater, as well as in the generation of renewable energies, has been a recipient of different awards such as the Youth Award of the state of Hidalgo in 2020, medal for teaching merit 2021 José Santos Valdez in the Higher Education category in May 2022, she was president of two different student chapters of the Society Mexican of Materials, as well as organizer of different symposiums, courses and activities related to Materials Science, she was the organizer of the three first editions of the Virtual School of Materials Characterization by the Mexican Materials Society, currently president of the organizing committee
of the National Congress for the Development of Materials and Systems for the Diagnosis of Cancer and was co-founder of the Laboratory of Systems for Diagnosis and Cancer Treatment located in the Interdisciplinary Professional Unit in
Engineering and Advanced Technologies (UPIITA-IPN). It currently has the distinction of the National System of Researchers and
Level 1 researchers, has published 15 JCR articles and directed 10 level students degree, 1 master's student, has 2 book chapters, as well as 2 copyright registrations, has been director of 3 internal projects of research at the IPN and is currently directing 3 master's students and 7
undergraduate level.
