Dr. Bishnu Bastakoti pursued a PhD at Saga University, Japan, as a Monbukagakusho scholar. He then joined the National Institute for Materials Science as a JSPS Fellow. He previously worked at the University of Sydney and Harvard University before starting his independent career at North Carolina A&T State University. He is exploring a broad design challenge to control multiple structural properties such as porosity, crystallinity, and the dimension of porous inorganic nanomaterials. He is particularly interested in using highly porous nanostructured materials in catalysis and energy conversion. His research projects are supported by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy.
