Dr. Mark was blessed with a challenging and rewarding 48-year career in Industry (representing Zeiss east and west, Olympus and Reichert) and in Academia at Master's University, Azusa Pacific University and Calfornia State University, Northridge (southern California). Mark ran EM labs (SEM,TEM) at each location and asssisted many students and PI's on their research projects. His retirement from microscopy has not removed his interaction with microscopists and specimens, rather it has amplified into greater opportunities for high school and college students to conduct experiments in microscopy and see them through to publication. He is excited to have 2 presenting students at M&M2025!
