Ing-Shouh Hwang received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the National Taiwan University in 1984, and M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Applied Physics from Harvard University, MA, USA, in 1988 and 1993. respectively. He joined the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1994 and is currently a Research Fellow. His current research interests include development and application of scanning probe microscopy, surface and interface science, gas in water, and development of technologies based on electron/ion beams emitted from single-atom tips.
