Georgios Varnavides is a postdoctoral Miller Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, where he develops computational imaging techniques to observe the structure and function of materials with high resolution and sensitivity. Varnavides is passionate about science communication and pedagogy, and recently co-launched an open-access journal sponsored by the MSA, Elemental Microscopy, that promotes open science, reproducibility, and accessibility through open-source web standards and interactive notebooks.
