As the Biological Image Analysis Group Leader at the BioFrontiers Institute, I collaborate with researchers to develop analysis tools and workflows to extract quantitative data from microscope images. I work with data from diverse microscopes, including widefield and confocal microscopy, TIRF, FRAP, 3D light sheet, super-resolution (STED, STORM) and high-content imaging (Opera Phenix and Evident VS200). I analyze images using different such as Fiji/ImageJ and Imaris, as well as Python and MATLAB. I am also interested in using machine learning models, including Cellpose, StarDist, and Segment Anything, to improve analysis and extract meaningful biological insights from the resulting data.
