Dr. Mukesh Bachhav is a staff scientist at Advanced Characterization Department at INL, where he works on microstructural characterization of as-fabricated and irradiated structured materials and nuclear fuels. He received a Ph.D. degree in materials science at University of Rouen, France in 2012 where he worked on development of laser assisted Atom Probe Tomography for quantitative analysis of oxide materials. He then joined Prof. Marquis Group at University of Michigan as a Research Fellow where his focus was on understanding and quantifying the mechanisms controlling microstructural evolution in alloy systems, interfacial properties, oxidation behavior and irradiation effects in materials. He has more than 10 years of research experience of elucidating materials using Atom Probe Tomography for wide range of applications.
