Associate Professor
Institute of Materiobiology, College of Science, Shanghai University, United States
Dr. Liqi Zhou is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Materiobiology, Shanghai University. Her research focuses on developing computational diffractive imaging techniques (Electron Ptychography) for cryogenic electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) in biological imaging. She received her PhD from Nanjing University under Prof. Peng Wang's supervision, followed by a three-year postdoctoral position in the same group. During these periods, she undertook a visiting position in the Department of Physics at University of Warwick. Dr. Zhou pioneered the demonstration of Cryo Electron Ptychography (Cryo-EPty) for low-dose phase retrieval of biological macromolecules, and further combined Cryo-EPty with single-particle analysis (SPA).
