Dr. Gonzalez-Magaldi received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and in Clinical
laboratory Analysis in Montevideo, Uruguay where she then worked in a clinical
bacteriology and virology lab for 7 years. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology
in Madrid, Spain from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in Dr Sobrino’s lab, working
with picornavirus nonstructural proteins, viral cycle and viral entry, where she worked for
11 years. Since 2016 she has worked with Dan Leahy on Receptors tyrosine kinases at
UT Austin.
