I am a fifth year PhD student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My work focuses on diffraction technique development and analysis for quantitative charge density refinement. My current focus is on the development of large angle rocking beam electron diffraction as a quantitative technique, providing access to charge density analysis in new materials systems. Specifically I am interested in high quality refinement of charge density in complex large unit cell oxides and correlated electron systems to understand their atomic arrangements and bonding. Here, by understanding a materials fundamental structure we aim to ellucidate irregular properties and functionalities.
