Chris received an interdisciplinary PhD in physics and electrical engineering from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, managing two research XPS systems while investigating corrosion protection coatings. For the 24 years since, Chris has worked for Kratos Analytical as an applications and salses specialist, training much of the customer base in the Americas, providing application support, and participating in technical symposia, promoting Kratos XPS instrumentation. Chris served as the chair of the ASTM E42 committee on Surface Analysis for the last 6 years, and is serving as the manager of the ISO TC201/SC2 sub-committee on General Procedures in Surface Chemical Analysis, previously serving as chair of TC201/SC2 for 9 years.
