Binzhi Liu received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Iowa State University in 2022. His doctoral research focused on solid-phase transition mechanisms in ferroelectric and antiferroelectric materials using in-situ transmission electron microscopy and related high-energy-density antiferroelectric material development. Since 2023, he has been a postdoctoral researcher at The Ohio State University, where he specializes in advanced scanning transmission electron microscopy techniques, including 4D-STEM, to investigate a wide range of functional materials. His current work includes characterization of novel insulator magnets, amorphous materials, superconductors, and semiconductors, supported by complementary computational analysis.
