Managing Director
BLG Vantage
University of Strathclyde , United States
Graham is the head of BLG Productions Ltd. and also a visiting professor at the University of Strathclyde.
He cut his teeth at the University of Bristol under the supervision of Prof David Dingley, the godfather of EBSD (though not doing EBSD).
After several post docs and a brief sabbatical at the Institute of Pasteur in Paris with Spencer Shorte, Graham returned to Bristol to set up BLG Productions. Working with Prof Angus Wilkinson and Prof David Dingley in 2005, he was able to create code based on Angus’s methodology to create Crosscourt; software which allowed the measurement and mapping of relative elastic strain and more, using EBSD patterns in the SEM.
Around 2011 Graham joined forces with Damian Dingley of Vantage Software Inc. trading as BLG Vantage to make Crosscourt 4.0.
We are currently working towards the measurement of absolute strain in the SEM developing booth hardweare and software for this purpose.
