Dr. Kaustubh Bawane is a Staff Scientist at Idaho National Laboratory where he mainly focuses on advanced microstructural characterization of irradiation and corrosion damage in nuclear materials. He has published over 50 peer reviewed He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA in December 2019. He has a Master of Engineering in Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune in India. He also worked with General Electric India Technology Center as a co-op for 1 year during his Masters focused on additive manufacturing of cobalt based superalloys.
